I became involved with the reserved seating bill because my principal asked me to sit on the District 8 PTA committee that was interested in the legislation. I did research for the committee on festival seating and became very convinced that banning it would help save lives.

I really enjoyed testifying before the House Judiciary and Rules Committee. Even though House Bill 261 didn't pass, I was happy I got involved and tried. I feel proud to live in a country where everyone's voice can be heard. I feel everyone can make a difference, even kids like me.
