JuneFest Presents Three Nights of Special Programming Across Four Channels — June 5, 6 and 9

For three nights, June 5, 6 and 9, Idaho Public Television offers special music, comedy, self-help and Idaho programs on four channels with opportunities to pledge support during JuneFest, The event features concerts by Paul McCartney, Carole King and James Taylor, and 4TROOPS as well as comedy by Onslow and a retrospective with OUTDOOR IDAHO: THROUGH THE YEARS.

The celebration begins Saturday, June 5, at 5:00/4:00 p.m. MT/PT, continues Sunday, June 6, beginning at 5:00/4:00 p.m. MT/PT, and culminates Wednesday, June 9, beginning at 7:00 p.m. MT/PT on the Idaho Channel. JuneFest extends to all four channels during all three evenings includes some repeats from the Idaho Channel, with additional shows available only on the HD, Learn/Create and World channels. Check idahoptv.org/schedules for complete schedule information for the three nights.

With the fiscal year ending June 30, IdahoPTV is approximately $200,000 short of the overall goal for private funding due to the economic challenges everyone has been facing. Private funding sources — a mix of businesses, foundation and individuals — make up 63 percent of IdahoPTV’s total budget.

“The financial support received throughout the fiscal year underscores the value Idahoans place on this statewide medium that provides educational, enlightening and entertaining programming throughout the year,” says Peter Morrill, general manager. “JuneFest is your opportunity to make a positive statement for quality television programming and help us meet our fiscal year goal.”
